Coaching and Leadership in Medicine
In November, our coaching team member Bryce Palmer was selected for publication in the UVU Journal of Student Leadership. The Publication, entitled Coaching and Leadership in Medicine, is an informative article on the uses of coaching and its potential use in medicine. Bryce writes “The use of coaching skills in the field of medicine is a current frontier of research. Thus far, coaching has been identified as a potential approach to relieving physician burnout, improving chronic disease management, and enhancing the patient-physician relationship. The implementation of coaching skills into the healthcare system may equip physicians with the skills needed to revolutionize the quality of care delivered in the United States healthcare system.”

Competence-based assessment and training for ethical situations in practice: a pilot study.
We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone in the Sorensen Center's journey. On Sep. 28th, 2023, we celebrated the release of our first mission-relevant research supported by the Sorensen Center. As a University center focused on morals and ethics, we have always believed in the power of research and the impact it can have on shaping the future. Our commitment to BYU's motto “Enter to learn go forth and serve,” has led us to invest in research initiatives, and today, we are proud to share the fruits of those efforts with the release of our first mission-related publication.
