Helaman Field

Come celebrate Juneteenth with us! Come honor our shared identity as children of God and recognizing the sacred worth of every individual. Commemorating Juneteenth invites our community to reflect on the enduring journey toward freedom and equality, principles that resonate with the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and our divine call to love and service one another. This event creates space for hears to be 'knit together in love' (Mosiah 18:21) by acknowledging the historical struggles and celebrating the rich contributions of Black Americans. In doing so, we affirm the value of diverse life experiences, perspectives, and gifts, each of which strengthens and enriches our BYU community (1 Corinthians 12:12-27). By fostering meaningful connection, cultural awareness, and mutual respect, our Juneteenth celebration supports an environment of belonging (Ephesians 2:19) where every attendee is invited to learn, reflect, and grow.

Join us to reflect and celebrate the faith and legacy of Juneteenth through music, art, storytelling, food, and community connection.
