Melissa Newberry is a professor in the Teacher Education department at BYU’s McKay School of Education. Her work centers on the social dimensions of learning, with a focus on teacher–student and teacher–teacher relationships, emotion regulation, and affective factors in education. She is also interested in how teachers develop their professional identity throughout their careers.
