Isaac Smith is an associate professor of Organizational Behavior and Human Resources at BYU’s Marriott School of Business. His research explores morality, ethics, and character development—particularly in a workplace setting. The driving motivation behind his research agenda is to help people fulfill their potential and become their best moral selves, which makes partnering with the Sorenson Center for Moral and Ethical Leadership an exciting proposition.

Isaac received a BA and MBA from BYU, and then worked for two years as a sr. consultant for Hitachi Consulting in Seattle. Then, after earning a PhD in organizational behavior from the University of Utah, he spent 5 years as a faculty member at Cornell University before joining BYU’s Department of Management in 2019. Isaac, his wife Kelly, and their three sons live in Provo.
