As the first Executive Director of Rising Star Outreach, Amy Antonelli spent seven years living and working in leprosy colonies in India. Prior to her work in India, Amy acted as a spokesperson for Apple's executive officers, including CEO Steve Jobs. She was instrumental in building PowerSchool, Inc., leading up to its acquisition by Apple in 2002. In 2014, she led an initiative with the leadership team at Facebook to develop a mission-driven workforce. She then helped to develop a mentoring strategy for the new Self-Reliance program of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In 2016 she became the CEO of Humanitarian HXP (formerly HEFY), an independent nonprofit organization that operates sustainable humanitarian expeditions for teenagers in 52 global locations. This summer they anticipate 6000 participants. Amy, a Center for Social Innovation fellow at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, received a B.A. Brigham Young University and a Master’s degree from the Harvard Kennedy School.
