The Sorensen Center partnered with Y-Serve to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. with special keynote speakers Debra and Harry Bonner and The Debra Bonner Unity Choir.
On January 16th, the Sorensen Center partnered with Y-Serve for the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Outreach Day. Special guest and keynote speakers Debra and Harry Bonner kicked off the day of service with inspiring music and Christ-centered teachings. The Debra Bonner Unity Choir livened up the room one soulful song at a time!
In his closing talk, Harry Bonner reminded attendees of the BYU motto, "Enter to learn, go forth to serve." Following the opening program, thousands of volunteers did exactly that! Students chose from an array of service opportunities, both on and off campus, to go forth to serve.
