Katreena Merrill, originally from Southern California, earned a B.S. in nursing from BYU in 1985 and worked at Primary Children’s Medical Center before transitioning to quality improvement and nursing administration. Since 2011, she has taught research and capstone courses in BYU’s College of Nursing, focusing on healthcare safety, nurse-sensitive outcomes, and leadership principles. Her research interests include infection control, patient safety, and quality improvement, and she has received multiple honors, including fellowships in infection control and nursing.
